I have been only sewing for less than 2 months, I started out with a cheaper Singer machine that I thought would be great for a beginner and while it was a great machine I outgrew it much too fast. Because the first machine was so simple I spent more time trying to set it up and get it working right than I did actually sewing, so much for being perfect for a beginner.

The Singer Confidence 7470 sewing machine is much different, I LOVE THIS MACHINE!! It makes the basics of threading and straight stitching far more simple and superior to the beginner machine.

The Singer Confidence 7470 sewing machine does not jump up and down on the table like the simple model does.

The bobbin is hassle free, truly drop and sew, no more messed up or broken bobbin thread
